Partying with Masks On
Posted: July 10, 2008

We’ve attended lots of parties before, we even threw them. But an acquaintance party with different colleges attending and full-packed with fun, is a different thing.

The once-a-year ear breaking party was held at the Sacred Heart College Gymnasium, June 27. The Acquaintance party was a success with a theme of “Cordians’ Nyt 2K8: Transform, Unite, Empower!”. The effectiveness of the Masters of Ceremonies, Mackie Briones, Rra Constantino and Julius Cabangon, kept the activities spontaneous.

Different colleges prepared their own ways of presenting themselves. The colleges were made to decide what cartoon characters they would be for the party and they must come in uniformity. They were color coordinated.

The main subject and plan of action of the event was to welcome the freshmen and give them a break to showcase themselves with their individual talents and uniqueness. A part of the event was specially prepared for the freshmen together with the Talinong Kordeano Performing Arts. The upper class-men were overwhelmed with their performance. They never expected how amazing it would be, that when freshmen representatives from different departments took center stage the crowd literally went wild and cheered for their own co-depts.

The party ended with dancing as student bands played on. “It’s fun!”, a line that can be heard from freshmen students visualized by their stamina of dancing ‘til the party signed out.
