He also mentioned that majority of the Filipinos today is a zero provider of capital and the sad truth that 9 out of 10 Filipinos are not saving money.
In order not to be a part of that majority, he shared this tip: 60% part of income should be consumed for expenses, 20% for investment, 15% for savings, and 5% for insurance. "If you followed that diligently, you will not struggle in the future", he said. Lastly, he said that we have to plan not only for ourselves, but also for the fourth generation of our family. "The first three generations are for the accumulation of savings, and your 4th generation should be the creation of business".
He finished his talk by answering all the questions of the students with regards to investments and savings. Mr. Arnel L. Cadeliña was given a certificate of appreciation for his remarkable effort of sharing his knowledge to the future finance people of Sacred Heart College.
