CBA MEETING WITH THE PARENTS TACKLES ON-THE-JOB-TRAINING, THESIS AND SCHOLARSHIPS

The College of Business Administration held a consultative meeting with seventy-nine parents of third year students last March 11, 2017 at Hermana Fausta Hall of Sacred Heart College. The objectives of the meeting are the details of the On-the-Job Trainings, Thesis Writing and available scholarships.
The program started with a prayer by Ms. Marielle Rynee P. Bueno, newly elected CBA President, followed by the opening remarks of the VP-Academics, Dr. Luzviminda G. Calzado wherein she thanked the parents who attended as well as invite them to be partners of the school.
Dean Arnel L. Cadeliña presented the opening of classes for A.Y. 2017-2018 and shared the schedule of summer classes, the units and the fees.
Mrs. Anna Liza B. Mendiola, Marketing Professor, shared the OJT Guidelines which helped the parents understand the rules of the School in terms of the welfare and protection of its students. These guidelines includes the proper dismissal time for interns, the clearbook content, the grading system and the number of hours for OJT.
Mrs. Melody Canlas, HR Professor and the Registrar, talked about thesis guidelines. She emphasized that the thesis is a group composed of 3 members and the importance of honesty in writing thesis or feasibility study.
Mrs. Teresita Gulmayo, the Director for Scholarships, discussed the requirements needed and the general average needed to be considered eligible. She also informed the parents about the loan offered by CHED and the conditions it entails.
The program ended at ten o’clock in the morning with a prayer by Ms. Jesselynne P. Lacerna, newly elected CBA Assistant Treasurer.
Mr. Lawrence Y. Piguerra and Ms. Aubrey B. Gabule, newly elected CBA Treasurer and Secretary are the masters of the ceremony.
