“Not all graduates in our field (Computer Science) become programmers; some pursue their career as visual artists...” – Skid Reynoso (BSCS Alumnus)

November 16, 2016 – the Cybercordians gathered at the MIS/IT Center of Sacred Heart College for a Seminar-Workshop in Graphic Arts Design using Adobe Illustrator. The 4th year students of College of Computer Science organized the event.

Mr. Sebastian Anjolico “Kuya Skid” Reynoso, an alumnus of the College of Computer Science facilitated the workshop. During his college years, he excelled in both academic and non-academic activities. At present, he is working as a graphic artist at BNP Design Studio located at Diversion Road Brgy. Ilayang Dupay, Lucena City.

The event started with a prayer and was immediately followed with the presentation of the speaker. Series of his works and tips as a graphic artist were presented including some tips on how to market works online.

Afterwards, he proceeded mentoring the students on using AI, one of the products of Adobe. Starting from the basics, he discussed every tool in details then asked the students to make a home icon for a website.

The speaker’s enthusiasm was all over the place as he goes hand in hand to whoever asked him for help. When the participants finished their first work in AI, three outputs were picked and recognized.

A video presentation entitled “Busy vs Productive” was shown. The speaker emphasized that “a busy person complains while productive person works in silence.” Before concluding his presentation, he encouraged the Cybercordians to discover and enhance their skills in their chosen field.

Mrs. Eleonor Jardiniano, Program Head of Computer Science thanked the participants and Mr. Reynoso for sharing his expertise to the students of the College of Computer Science.
