SHC orients parents of ESC students

Sacred Heart College oriented the parents of the Education Service Contracting (ESC) grantees on August 4 at the SHC Hermana Fausta Hall.

This academic year, a total of 305 slots were given to grade seven students. Mr. Emmanuel R. Manga, IBED principal emphasized the importance of taking all the slots given for new grade 7 students to secure the same number of offering for the next school years. Prior to that, there are 203 grantees in grade eight, 84 grantees in grade nine and two grantees in grade ten. The grade ten students were transferees from public schools who are previously granted the assistance fund.

The Fund for Assistance to Private Education (FAPE) funded the financial expenses of the students. These actions of the FAPE and ESC are part of the response to overpopulation in most public schools.

The program gear to help students avail private schooling to lessen the population in most public schools.
