The Junior Financial and Investment Executives (JFINEX), the organization for BSBA Finance major, conducts their second financial educational talk entitled "Effective Corporate Career Development" at Sacred Heart College Gymnasium, last November 11, 2017. The program started with an opening prayer by Ms. Roneth Pionilla, running for Vice President for Socio Civic, followed by the opening remarks of Mr. Blodymer Dalde, current President of Junior Financial and Investment Executives (JFINEX), wherein he acknowledge the presence of the participants and foreground the importance of knowing the effective ways when you are in corporate world saying, “We as a business student should know by now that planning for our future success is a must to effectively utilize our skills to attain our goals and objectives which will give us direction so that we ca focus on achieving the long-term success that we want.” And the Moderator of JFINEX and the Dean of College of Business Administration, Mr. Arnel Cadeliña for the inspirational message. Thereafter, Mr. Cedrick Sy, running for Vice President for Internal Affairs, has introduced the speaker, Mrs. Maria Cristina E. Caraos, Treasurer at QCRB, Inc.

Mrs. Caraos shared some tips and ways on how to be able to be successful in corporate world saying, “once you are working – you not only need to be book smart but people smart as well. You will be encountering different type of people every day. You have to learn to be able to go with the flow with the situation even if you do not want to. Sometimes you do not have a choice but to handle challenges as it presents itself. It is easy for us to say ‘just ignore it’ and just go on and do your thing but you have to understand that you will be faced with this task everyday of your life. The key is to be flexible”. She added,” when you are exposed to different personalities and characters, in the corporate world and once you have been hired, try to feel for the job first – to see the attitude of the people with whom you will be working with.” She explained that, you need to realize that in this world, you cannot do everything by yourself. Most of the time in a job situation you will need the help of your co-workers to finish projects and to get information on different things you may not know about. You can never feel like you are too proud to ask a question. Never be embarrassed to ask for help and not feel weak for asking. There are four things to remember Mrs. Caraos said, (1) hard work, (2) confidence, (3) good attitude, and (4) faith. She explained that it is daunting to think that soon you will be entering the corporate world. With all the skills and knowledge you have learned from school- you don’t really know if any of these things are really going to happen. What will happen to you in the near future?

And sometimes you have to be happy with the cards that you are dealt in life, and sometimes you really do not have a choice. You need to have the right people on your side and you always need to have the right attitude. hard work is always needed to get to where you would like to be and of course, in order for you to get to where you want to be , a supportive family who will always be there to encourage and support you no matter what; and most important to always have faith.

Ms. Eloisa Arambulo, running for Vice President for Finance and Ms. Catherine Tolentino, running for Vice President for Comptrollership, together with Mr. Blodymer Dalde, current President of Junior Financial and Investment Executives (JFINEX) gave the token of appreciation and certificate of recognition to Mrs. Maria Cristina E. Caraos for sharing her knowledge to the participants.

Ms. Rea Landoy, running for President of JFINEX delivered the closing remarks wherein she extended her deepest gratitude to the speaker and to all who participated in the said event. Afterwards, Ms. Rosecarlisle Imperial, running for Vice for Marketing and Sponsorship, end it with the closing prayer.
