Sacred Heart College defends title, wins Interpretative Dance 2014

A whirl of white claimed the stage, dancing to retell the plight of the blind, dumb and deaf.

The Cordians bagged champion in the Interpretative Dance 2014 Inter Private Schools level, claiming their second consecutive win. The student dancers won in the Interpretative Dance of Freddie Aguilar’s Bulag, Pipi, at Bingi.

“This is the second time we won and it is a nice experience,” Venice Cada, one of the dancers said. According to Venice, they really trained hard for the contest.

“It’s a great experience to join again the Interpretative Dance competition and we’re so glad that we were able to make it on top, “ Ms. Michelle Cuario, trainer and choreographer further said.

Mr. Jujie Abelino, principal of St. Philomena School, Mr. Michael Pagsuyuin, principal of Calayan Educational Foundation Inc. and Mrs. Carla Marie. Carandang, principal of Bristol Integrated School composed the board of judges.

The contest is a part of the celebration of the Linggo ng Wika and was held in the Hermana Fausta Hall, Sacred Heart College, Aug. 26. Furthermore, the students will be representing the private schools in the Division level.

The dancers are currently gearing for the Division level, to be held in West 1 Elementary School, Sept. 1.
