SHC Invests on Major Physical Improvements Posted: December 15, 2007
With the arrival of Sr. Remedios T. Tidor, DC, the new Vice-President for
Administrative & Finance and the appointment of Arnel L. Cadeliņa,MBA (major in Operations & Logistics ) as the General Services Director last June 2007, the school utilizes its capital expenditures to spend on projects that will benefit the students and other stakeholders.
 The 766 sq. m covered court was completed last June 28, 2007. The
covered court, located at the back of the gymnasium, is used for various sports
activities like basketball, volleyball, tennis, badminton and table tennis.
Numerous sports events were held in the covered court and recently it hosted
the basketball inter-school meet.
The new ABCOM laboratory was completed last September 2007. The
students of AB Communication are now using the laboratory as radio booth
simulation. The laboratory is packed with communication equipment and the
students regularly used it for broadcasting.
Renovation of 2 stockrooms, sacristy, sewing room and laundry were
completed last October 2007. The stockrooms made it easy for the Purchasing
Department to retrieve and issue supplies. The new sewing room was relocated
near the printing office which made it more accessible to the students and
parents.
Installation of sunbreaker for Grade 10 Solidarity and Prudence, the
concreting of road near General Services Office, the fabrication of 24 cubicles
for 72 BED teachers, the construction of new Psychology Laboratory and new
Heart office were completed last November 2007.
This December the on-going major projects are the rehabilitation and
renovation of front gates and fence, the construction of new Graduate School
library and the renovation of the HED Guidance Office.
With these investments, the school is fulfilling its mission of providing a
learning environment that is committed to academic excellence.
