JFINEX Attend Students’ Summit at DLSU-Dasmarinas

The SHC-Junior Financial and Investment Executives (JFINEX), with part-time Finance Professor Mr, Sherwin Diala, joins the 2nd De La Salle University-Dasmarinas Students’ Summit dubbed MONEY MATTERS: Changing The Way You Think About Money seminar last October 22, 2016.

Seventeen Cordians mingled with over hundred participants from different business schools in the country where they listened to , Mr. Kenneth Isiah Abante, the current Chief of Staff on the Department of Finance Strategy Group, served as the President of the Council of Organization of Ateneo, a former Deputy Chief of Staff to the Philippines’ Secretary of Finance, graduated as Class Valedictorian from the Ateneo de Manila University with the degree in BS Management Engineering minor in Philosophy, studied Executive Education major in Tax Analysis and Revenue Forecasting at Duke University, and awarded as one of the Ten Outstanding Students of the Philippines in 2012.Mr. Kenneth talks about Money and Leadership. He gave three bicolano inspiring words. First was Tao means to give and Tao means to be human. “To give is to be human’’. Second was Dios Mabalos means “God through entire myself will return the favor”, Balos means “to thank”. And the third bicolano word was Padagos means “to continue”. Dagos means “to allow the Lord to enter our lives”.

A man full of experience and expertise, Mr. Marvin V. Fausto was the second speaker graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in BS Management Engineering. Mr. Fausto is the present president of IFE Management Advisers, Inc., former Sevior VP & Chief Investment Officer of BDO Unibank, Inc. talks about Money and Investment. He talks about the book of The Richest Mans In Babylon and The Basic Law of Money. The first law was “Pay Yourself First”, second “Get Only Into Business You Understand; Seek Advise Only From Competent People”, and the third law was “Make Your Gold Work for You; Make an Army of Golden Slaves Before You But Luxury”. He said that investing is for everyone and everyone deserves a richer life! And the secret to being truly rich is to GIVE.

The third speaker Mr. Anthony Pangilinan is a management trainer, motivational speaker, productivity consultant and at same time an advocate of transforming the nation through education. Mr. Pangilinan shares on Money and Relationship. Money and Relationships are two amazing G.I.F.T.S. G is for God Is The Ultimate Giver of Money and Relationships. I is for If They Will Be Value, It Is Up To You. F for Faithful Stewardship Grows Money and Relationships Over Time. T for Take 2! You will Make Mistakes, Just Get Better Overtime. And S for Stay Connected: A Disconnected Root Dries Over Time. Mr. Anthony also shared inspiring quotes like “Lool at Money as an asset not just a resources” “Gambling is a short term, investing is a long term. Do not gamble in relationship” “Treasure those relationship much more and utilize money”

A Spiritual and Motivational Speaker, a famous speaker of Money Matters seminar on God’s principle of money, a full-time Pastor in Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF), a Board Member and a Leader Trainer in School of Business Administration and took special courses in Harvard University. Pastor Joby Soriano was the fourth and last speaker shared his knowledge about Money and Spirituality. He talks aboutt may Biblical Perspective-Money like Honor Him with your tithes; Do not owe anybody; Stay away from GRQ schemes; Do not over commit to work; Be honest i all your dealings; and Work unto the lord. God’s Part on money. God’s Part on Money was God is the Owner of everything we possess; God is the Controller of our lives; and God is the Provider of all our needs.
