JFINEX holds Leadership Seminar

The Junior Financial and Investment Executives (JFINEX)- Sacred Heart College conducted a leadership seminar last November 11, 2017, at the Rendu Cultural Gymnasium, The objectives of the seminar includes obtaining leadership knowledge and skills that will be shared by invited leaders and use these to become an efficient leader someday. The 3-hour seminar was organized by the 3rd year students of Financial Management major who are aspiring to become one of the officers of JFINEX for the academic year 2018-2019. With the theme of “I am a Trader: Training LeaDer for the Future”, the seminar was attended by 82 students mostly coming from the 3rd year and 4th year level.

The event’s masters of ceremony are from the Wisely Partylist- Inah Flancia, who ran for Vice President for Events and Logistics and Roy Vincent Agunias, who ran for Executive Secretary. The program started with an opening prayer led by Aizza Marie Briones, who ran for Executive Vice President for External Affairs and it was followed by the singing of National Anthem and the College Hymn. After that, it was followed by the opening remarks from the Dean of College of Business Administration and moderator of Junior Financial and Invesment Executives, Mr. Arnel Cadeliña, MBA, RREA.

The speaker was Mr. Christian Joseph M. Takeda ,a graduate of Political Science in Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation and a masterate graduate of Political Science at De La Salle University-Manil, who started his talk by giving an ice breaker game. He grouped every students randomly. He made it in purpose in order for everybody to socialize and to know each other. After that, he started sharing his knowledge and expertise about becoming an efficient leader in the future as well as being a trader. His enthusiastic talk made the finance students acquired a lot of learning like having a good leadership mindset. He explained that a mindset is so influential because it determines how a person think about and interpret situations, his/her emotional reactions, the decisions he/she make, and the actions he/she take. He further added that a person’s mindset directly impacts the quality of his/her relationships, the interactions he/she have, and the way he/she lead. After Mr. Takeda’s motivational talk, the masters of the ceremony gave the Certificate of Appreciation and a simple token.

To conclude the event, Mr. Blodymer Dalde, the current JFINEX president delivered his closing remarks where he acknowledged those who attended the first plenary of the seminar and for wisely partylist who wholeheartedly shared and gave their best in organizing the seminar about leadership. To end the morning plenary, Kimberly Talisic who ran for Vice President for Finance had the closing prayer.

As the Finance students leave the Rendu Cultural Gymnasium, they felt a sense of accomplishment of learning and having given a chance to listen to a good leadership seminar.
