Christian Vincentian Formation (CVF) team spearheaded the Youth as Key Animator (#YaKAP) Project to assist youth leaders who face challenges in animating their community or parish at the Hermana Fausta Hall last July 8, 2016. The project also aims the Cordian second year students to become a true friend to their fellow youth in the parish and come up with an activity plan.

The program started past three in the afternoon upon finishing the registration of the participants and having some snacks. The opening was energized by the animation dance led by the Cordian volunteers and sanctified by the opening prayer led by Mr. Rey C. Rodil and Mr. Adrian Reglos. It was later followed by a short inspirational film, which followed by a dyad sharing and feed-backing with the larger group.

After that Mr. Narciso G. Cruzat, Jr. the director of CVF team had a talk about “How your Parish be Amazing,” which has seven traits--reliance on prayer, real leadership team, clear vision, the Sunday experience, com-felling formation, small group discipleship, and a missionary zeal. He also talk the Beatitudes of Vincentian Servant Leaders, “Blessed are the leaders who have the head on the clouds but feet on the ground,” he quoted in his visual presentation.

By six in the evening the participants together with the organizers enjoyed and shared the long table dinner, boodle fight style. Praying together through a TAIZE prayer at the SHC Chapel gave the highlight also to the event. In this part also entrusted their prayers for the project and for their parishes/communities.

And by completing the program activities, the youth experience strength to animate their parish/community upon receiving the graces from God and connect again with him.

The CVF aims to continue to reach more parishes/communities and embrace more youth to assist them in their spiritual needs and for them to experience God’s immense love. Aside from one day recollection, the #YaKAP Project will also launch a 3 days Youth Encounter with the youth in the parishes/communities.
