St. Louise de Marillac was born on August
12, 1591. Widowed early by a relatively rich man leaving
her with an only son, she came under the influence of St.
Vincentde Paul with whom she shared the same burning love for
God and the poor. Eventually, she was commissioned by St.
Vincent to take charge of the first batch of the 12 Daughters of
Charity. In this capacity, she was given the authority to
draw up the rules for the company and brought to reality St.
Vincent's desire to keep the Sisters out of the standard
requirements of enclosure as he exhorted them, thus, St. Louise
died on March 15, 1660. In recognittion of her ardent zeal
to serve the poor, she henceforth became the patroness of
Christian social workers and the (D.C.) Daughters of Charity.
Continues the work left by St. Louise de Marillac, the D.C.
sisters built a community where they can ehlp the poor by giving
them some knowledge in an affordable way, from there the SLMES
was discovered and get starter. There are many Daughters
of Chairyt Schools in the Philippines handling Saint Louise de
Marillac Educational System and one of these D.C. schools in (SHC)
Sacred Heart College, which is managed by nuns. many
students don't know much about the "sister school" of their own
