The College of Nursing of Sacred Heart College proves to be a force to be reckoned with as it recently secured its 5th consecutive 100% passing rate in the Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE).
After all 23 of its takers successfully passed the November 2019 NLE, the school also affirmed its goal of producing quality graduates as one of the takers were registered to topnotcher’s list in the person of Gilliand De Castro, who placed 9th in the said board exam.
Dean Ana Libabel Ferreras believes that the "secrets" to getting five (5) perfect passing rates in a row are embracing the Nursing program wholeheartedly and attuning the goals of the college with the vision and mission of SHC. She also attributed the success of the College for having a formidable roster of faculty members and a supportive academic community. “Our license is our battlecry, and of course, we have good trainings for faculty, and a personalized review for our students who will take the boards,” she said.
Dean Ferreras also expressed her gratitude to the people behind this latest feat of the College of Nursing: "We owe this success to the parents who entrusted their children to us to have the excellent education they so deserve. I also thank the support of the administration, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders who made our mission possible.”
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 7,627 out of 13,816 passed the Nurse Licensure Examination given by the Board of Nursing in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga last November 2019.
