On the 22nd day of November 2019, Young Business Entrepreneurship attended the 13th Business Student Summit held at Quezon Convention Center, Lucena City with the theme: “The 21st Century Business Students: Inspired, Collaborative, Enterprising.” together with their supportive club moderators, Mrs. Consortia Natividad and Mrs. Marilyn Iglesias.
There were 60 universities and colleges participated on the said event. And according to Dr. Arnel V. Rodelas, president of CODEB4A with a notable quote, “Don’t chase money, let money chase you”. The event aims to enhance the entrepreneurial skills and develop the minds of business students from various parts of the region. It is focused on inspiring the young minds of the students via resilience and optimism.
The first resource speaker to give the talk was Mr. Lloyd Luna, President of the Philippine Association of Professional Speakers. According to him, “Achievement is nothing but a validation of what you did in the past.” He also gave emphasis about collaboration as an essential path to success.
The second speaker was Mr. Zaldy Bueno, He focus his talk about resilience and optimism. He was awarded as the Happiest Pinoy in 2019. According to Mr. Bueno, everyone can be what they want as long as they are determined, passionate, and driven in attaining the goals that they have set in their minds. He emphasized that there will be always challenges and obstacles that may hinder along our path to success however, we should always conquer those problems with our heads held high. He reiterated that always grab opportunities and take risks because it will gradually help us grow as a person.
Overall, the speech of the resource speakers has moved us in so many ways. The seminar has deeply inspired and motivated us. The immense knowledge we have gained has become an integral part of our development as a student. Thus, the seminar has taught us that no matter what life throws upon us, we must always persevere and make it an inspiration to keep moving forward. It was indeed a fruitful business student summit.
