DepEd commends SHC’s in-person classes preparation

The Department of Education (DepEd) on Thursday, August 25, 2022 has commended Sacred Heart College’s preparation for in-person classes during the regional monitoring of private schools in Lucena City.

The commendation was given during the feed backing and data gathering after the walk-through and observation of classes in the Saint Louise De Marillac, Saint Catherine Laboure and Saint Vincent de Paul buildings of Sacred Heart College of Lucena City, Inc.

SHC has evidently ticked all the boxes required for the in-person classes including major areas such as safe operations, teaching and learning, well-being and protection, barangay, school board, and parents support.

Dr. Maria Lucila M. Baroro, Vice President for Academics and Mr. Lloyd L. Alzola, Basic Education Department Principal accompanied the monitoring team composed of Mrs. Andrea Mabel E. Abrencillo, EPS – Field and Technical Assistance Division, Mrs. Josephine T. Natividad, CID Chief, Dr. Epifania F. Carandang, SGOD Chief and Dr. Pascual Jr. La Rosa, Senior Education Program Specialist, School Management (Monitoring and Evaluation).

The regional monitoring aims to validate the school readiness and compliance to the standards for (limited) face-to-face classes, as well as to provide technical assistance to address gaps and challenges encountered by schools.

The school visit concluded with the monitoring team underscoring SHC’s PAASCU Level III Re-accredited status for elementary and junior high school and candidate status after passing the preliminary survey for senior high school.
