A seminar on New Trends and Strategies in Teaching the Faith to the Young for Christian Living and Religious Education Teachers was held on November 16, 2019, 8am-12nn at JP II Formation House, Ecology Park, Sacred Heart College. It was initiated by the Christian Vincentian Formation (CVF) team of Sacred Heart College and in coordination with the LUDICSA Members that aims to discuss how the way students learn in the modern way and the various environmental influences of today give rise to new form of challenges in teaching the faith, and provide various approaches to religious education and best practices on how to address these modern challenges.
The topic on Faith in Action was facilitated by Rev. Fr. Daniel Franklin Pilario, CM, a Vincenian priest who is very much engaged in doing theology from the margins. He exposed some social realities that call for reflection in depth and concrete Christian response. The second session provided approaches to religious education, values integration within the different disciplines and best practices on how to communicate the faith affectively and effectively given by Bro. Jeros Amparo from the Augustinian of the Assumption.
